Hi guys... i'm after the sizing of the stock front door mounted speakers, if anybody knows.

I'm guessing that a 6-6.5" would be a good fit, but i'm just after some confirmation first.

Had the trim off the NS front today and took the pic below. The measurement to the outside edge of the plasitc outside mount (under the foam seal) is 155mm. So they are 6". Cheers...

Good to see Mitsubishi are still using quality paper cones.

Some of the best speakers in the world use paper cones... Low moving mass... mmm...

(not saying the stock speakers are any good, just dont judge a book by its cover...)

Don't know about mitsu but i hope their stock audio systems have improved... when comparing to dad's 03 statesman etc... that cranks.

Can't compare the stereo in a stateman to a magna/380. Have a look a the como stereo,
same ****. The stereo in my rada is way better than dads TJII magna.

Holdens stereos are **** fullstop. the new rockford fosgate system is one of the best on the market for a stock car 0.02% THD @ 650w for the Outlander I think.. which is *** good (Lexus is 0.01% THD, but there Mark Levinson stereos are only like 240w).

The current 380 setup, is better then the VE's setup, and sounds better too (I havn't heard the BOSE system in the Caprice though).

well my dad got his caprice two days ago, the sound system is good for a stock system (bose for ya). i haven't had a chance to crank it, but sound clear at a medium type of volume

(he wont let me drive yet !!)
