Installed some speakers in the rear of my wagon today and thought I would share some pictures of under the dash on a 2nd gen for anyone who is interested.
This first set is the from the passenger side.

You'll also need to remove two bolts at the bottom of the glovebox assembly to release it.

And the driver's side. To remove the panel under the dash you will need to remove two screws from inside the coin holder, one under a little cover to the left of the steering wheel and two from each corner of the bottom of the panel. The bottom ones are pretty obvious.
I ran my wiring along some existing wiring which is above the metal brackets you can see in the first picture below.

Nothing special, just some cheapish 6inch ones from Autobarn.

can u access the rear of the head unit through the glove box (removing the glove box) cos i want to feed an aux line to the rear of the head unit without taking the head unit out

I did mine by running the wiring down under the carpet to the wiring-channel...but then, I am lazy *LOL*

Should be able to simply remove the panel @ the bottom of the centre console & reach the back of your HU
