Finally got around to installing my rear speakers in my TS today. It is great to finally have some noise from the back end.
I installed some 6" 3 ways on the side panels at the very back using angled MDF spacers which angle the speakers slightly upwards.
The look ok but I am not 100% happy with the finished product, would be better if the finish of the spacers matched the interior panels more closely and the spacers are not completly flush all around. at the top there is a small (maybe 2mm) gap.
Here are some pics of the finished product.

Would be hard to get matching spacers.
I want to get spacers / angled pods too - at the moment I just have speakers flush mounted, add that to me having a Dickie Seat and I don't get much sound from the back unless I turn them up.
They look good.

Yeh well I am used to the color difference now. Sound is awesome. Next stage is getting some stock front door speaker pods from a Verada or Elite and moving the front speakers there.

@ axelr8, where'd you get your spacers from?
@ GRDPuck, where'd you flush mount 'em?
I bought some 6" to flush mount in the back (TS Wagon), pulled the left side panel off, measured & cut, test fitted the speaker & all was well
Pulled the right side off, layed left side over it to get everything right, cut the hole, put right panel back & there's a *@$#^% chunk of metal in the way stopping the speaker from sitting flush  :bowrofl:
Went to SuperCheap/AutoBarn(?) & bought a pair of spacers (see pic below), right side speaker still sits proud
Niece's bf gave me a couple 6x9 in box to get me going for the time being (pic below), but I reckon they look blaaaa, those spacers of yours axelr8. I reckopn I could probably be happy with

entropy,
Flush mounted them basically where you guys have 'em (well I didn't, the pros did).
At first they said the splits may need to be opposite away around from each other. ie. tweeter in front of 6.5" on one side and at the rear/behind the 6.5" on the other.
Due to metal bits and washer bottle (if there's one in there, I've never had my rear window washer work anyway).
But they managed to do the same both sides anyway.

@ axelr8, where'd you get your spacers from?
From Autobarn (Elizabeth one), they were $40. They also had 6x9 ones in the same style.
If you can't find them at your local Autobarn PM and perhap we can work something out.

Thanks guys :)
GRDPuck, don't recall seeing a bottle in there
Mines just the hose running through :)

Yeh the hose runs from the washer bottle in the engine compartment back to the outlet for the rear window. There's definately no washer bottle up the back.

Thanks for clearing that up for me. The "Pros" were guessing then i expect. They didn't actually tell me if there was one in there or not. I guess my washer hose must just be blocked.
