Just out of curiousity has any one got pics of magnas with vents cut into the bonnet? Wouldn't mind knowing how it looks.

EZ Boys looks great but I was talkin about just holes cut into the bonnet and covered with mesh.
I've seen it on a few cars and it looks exactly like that....a hole in the bonnet covered with mesh.
If you must, to it properly with a moulding of some kind.

Suits the TH style bonnet alot better IMHO. But, they're both great looking cars.

I agree and it would look even better again with a letterbox style grille!

yeah metal or nothing.... moulding fibreglass/plastic into a metal bonnet will definately start craking with the extreme changes in heat

What are people's thoughts on a fake vent, of the style on the right of the second pic posted by Ralliart-AKKO?
I have a gouge on my bonnet which is a ***** to match up, but it is "conveniently" located above the airbox, so dad suggested a fake vent. I don't know about the idea, don't know if it would be "acceptable", or be worse than just having a badly matched patch?
I don't want to cut through the bonnet, and would rather not have to go the full bonnet respray. Dunno if I can try to get the patch match reasonable or not.

Hey man i had my little vent put in ........nine years ago with no cracks what so ever. It is a GT style vent and i had it put in where the airbox is cause that was where my K&N pod was sitting. Now it sits behind the bumper driving light...so the vent is now just for looks and a little cool air i guess. They did cut into the bonnet, but didn't touch any of the ribs/supports as this is a no no. On the second pic you can see the strut brace through the vent. And the only painting was of the vent!! But don't know if this is what your looking for.

you're allowed to cut into the hood skin, just not allowed to but the actual frame.
