Gday all,

Just thought id post this bit of info i aquired a few days ago.

Few weeks ago i submitted an application for sum mods with the DPI (lowering with lows, 18x8 rims with 235's, exctractors with full exhaust upgrade to 2,3/4 inch).

Got a call from the DPI on friday. The guy says "why did you make an application, these mods require no approval or inspection (website says different) you can do all of these and we dont need to know about it".

Specificaly for the rims he told me "18x8's with 235's are fine so long as they dont rub or foul. 19's or 20's (with correct tyres) are good too if they dont rub or foul".

Lowering is all good aslong as you have 100mm ground clearance and the bottom of head lights are no lower than 500mm to ground.

Exhaust all good if not too noisey.

If any one else has any thing to add or share on this subject....post away, the more info the better for clarification or for people new to moding as im a reborn modder(lil bit older, wiser and lil bit more repect for the revenue raising patrol ).
