Power is 175kw at 5,250 rpm. Can't find anything on the 400 metres time. The GT is the top of the line model. Differences between the 380 models is in equipment levels, accessories and and trim rather than power output. They all share the same engine. Given that Mitsubishi are trying to project a sporty image, that doesn't seem logical to me.

There will be a high output engine slotted into higher/sports specced models for 380's first model update due mid 2007 (this year... OMG it's 2007!). I expect though that the 380GT will be fased out, with the 380LX being the new mainstream flagship, and the TMR 380 in both N/A and S/C'd versions to be the new hero model, albeit in limited numbers.
With the engine still being developed in Japan, no word is out yet on power figures, but it's believed to be over 190kW.
Congrats on the buy Alan, it's a great car. What colour is it? Any pics? Any plans for mods? There's no doubt it's the best looking 380 variant, I love it particularly in molten red metallic duco!:P
As far as lap times go, 0-100km/h is 7.6 secs, and you should be able to sneak in under 16 secs down the quarter mile.
the colour is metalic dark blue thanks for feed back guys have to talk to mmal about getting 10 year warranty been second owner they dont carry it over only five years my aim is the car only done 5k by some company see what happens

Usually they may keep the 10 year warranty if it has been owned/used by the dealer or a Mitsu. rep.

unless you are the original registered owner, you WON'T get the 10 year warranty! 5 year/130k is transferable though! It doesn't matter if John Smith from the suburbs, or Wang Mitsubishi from MMAL registered the vehicle first, it's all the same

That is correct... BUT some vehicles dealers have used as demo cars may have also being used for other uses hence the 5,000km, but, because they havn't been registered previously, they still have the 10 year warranty when they sell the car (kind depends on how many kms though).
I know because the guy two doors down from us bought a TW ES Magna which had like 3,500km on it and he still got the 10 year warranty because the car hadn't been sold previously.
hi guys yeap your right only 5 years dosent matter any way think about if they are going to to give ten on cars then your safe anyway unless you do some thing you shouldnt and one more thing if some thing is going to go wrong its normally the first 12 months and also mmal had to get this mod right anyway thats my story anyway i was having a look at the car under and the exhaust looks great all from engine to the back they done a good job is it stainless

My 380 was an ex-demo with 1,500km, and I got the 10 year warranty.

Any problems with understanding the 5/10 warranty, read this:

I'll say it again, if a dealer uses the vehicle as a demo, then it's "purchased" from the first day the vehicle was used. Same goes if MMAL use the vehicle.

It actually concers the first "retail purchaser", not when the vehicle was purchased as a demo, which as a single statement is nonsensical. When a new vehicle becomes an official demo, it is not purchased by the dealer, it simply becomes a registered vehicle and must have covered a certain amount of kms, depending on the manufacturers requirements.
So yes, if you or I were to buy a new demonstrator, in this case the 10 year warranty becomes active.
Keep in mind that when a car is new it is already property of the dealer.
It is different when the vehicle is used by the dealer, in which case it would constitute a company car, therefore being used and the warranty will not be transferable. Interestingly in these instances some dealers still advertise these cars as demo's, even though they're not and tend to have around 10,000kms or more.
does any body know if the exhaust system on the 05 gt is all stainless
