seems easy, could it damage your engine tho?

If you want to save fuel use public transport or ride a pushie.

logically no, all it does is force the air faster
it saves fuel and increases hp, why not

It won't do any damage, it just wont do anything at all.

It won't restrict enough fuel to make you use less, and it wont cause your injectors to fire less/more efficient, so fuel usage will stay the same.

Edit: If anything it will restrict air flow to your engine, meaning that it wont be able to rev as high and there for won't be able to use more fuel. Just a scam to get more money of some idiot searching ebay for a way to save fuel.

it allows more air. nothing to do with fuel. the more air there is, the better the combustion in the cylinder is, thus more power and efficiency

actually it does work - I put one on my car for 3 months and watched the consumption - on average it saved 1 litre per 100 klms. Took it off again for a month, consumption went back up by 1 litre per 100 klms. Put it back on - returned to the same saving. Mind you I do a lot of short trips - it seems to work best at more cruisy speeds so if you do a lot of highway work you may see better results than I saw.

ONE CAVEAT: Fit the thing with the POINTED END OF THE PROPELLOR towards the incoming air - the guy who sold me mine gave instructions that the flat side went towards incoming air - which seemed odd and sure enough the car ran a little roughly with it that way around.

did you notice any increase in hp?

did you notice any increase in hp?

On the V6 - there's a noticeable but minor increase in low down torque (pull) - nothing revolutionary though. So that was a small plus, the fuel consumption was a small plus, and its been on the car for at least a year with no Minus I can think of as such.

How the **** does more air come into the engine at all?????????????? It's a bloody restiriction in the induction system so LESS air will be comming in. HOW will you get more HP that way???????? HOW does it increase the air flow when the air is being bottle necked at it?????? These things are a piece of **** and should be melted down for amusement reasons

So where in the intake system have you got this positioned? I see from your profile - you have a 3rd gen. Which means you have a MAF sensor which doesn't like turbulent air flow. So I'm guessing you have it after the air flow sensor??

No it goes AFTER the MAF, in the pipe that connects the MAF and the throttle body. AS MARKED IN BLUE ON ATTACHED PIC.

they do work my brother put on in his bravo not long ago and now get more k's per tankand increased power

they work on the idea of when u turn a water bottel upside down and it splurts and what not and takes a while for the water to get out but refill the bottle and swirl the water around into a mini cyclone then it rushes out and next thing you no is youve got wet shoes

but thats to let air back in the bottle, if ya use a funnell it doesnt splurt

if more air was going in.... wouldnt the engine compensate and add more fuel so it doesnt lean out? thus doing sweet f*ck all? it just looks like a stupid piece of junk to me, about as feasable as an electric supercharger

If anything, it will alter and RESTRICT the air flow.

This would no doubt have an effect on altering the torque point and reduce fuel consumption due to lack of air coming in and therefore less fuel being injected.

Save your money and buy some fully sick stickers. You'll get more kw increase and better fuel consumption from some ralliart or blitz stickers, just make sure they're red as they work better.

I use black magic and voodoo on my 3.0 to reduce my fuel consumption.... It has about as much merit. All of the above posts make excellent points. Listen to them.

No offense, but you don't know how an engine EFI system works do you?
The more air you put into an engine, the more fuel it needs to compensate for that air. Possibly more power*, but not better fuel economy.

*This assumes that it does in fact give you more power, maybe on smaller engines, but on bigger engines i'd say it'd choke it. I'd say it could possibly give better response at low rpm, but there would be a point where it'd become a restriction.

Have we all seen the hiclone ad's...lol...if they don't work i'm sueing for false advertising...heard they really only work on diesiels anyways.
think its just meant to cause the incoming air to swirl like a cyclone, thus compressing the air ever so slightly and forcing more in....

thats if theres enough air in there in the first place

err dude... you obviously have no idea..... but in reference to your above post, enough air for what? its an ever changing thing, if theres not enough air, theres something wrong and that little "fan" wont fix it.... face it mate, its a useless piece of junk

When did i say i had an idea about the efi, im not talkin about the efi at all, im talkin about a little fan which i never said wasnt a useless peice of junk... thats why i started the thread, to find out how useful it was. enough air referring to the amount of air in the combustion chamber, allowing 'complete combustion' if of course u know what that means, wtf else would i be referring to?? :gtfo:
