Hey all i'm a new member of the magna club, i get my ts hopefully by end of this week (awaiting rego check) its a 6cyl manual exec and is as stock as a rock (exept it has roof racks and a tow bar lol) but yeah looking forward to doing some work to the car and wondering whats the pointers to start off with, the moola side of things isnt a major problem but lets keep it cheap for now lol.

parras, new grille, rims, tint, lower, stereo, interior re-trim/respray, verada tails, verada map lights/clock/door pods, exhaust,

the list goes on, search TUFFTR hes basically done everything you can to a 2nd gen, also check out the post your ride section for inspiration

Then theres the engine side of things...

should be enough to keep you busy for now...

Cheap... I guess there are quite a few minor mods you can do for sub $50, especially if you live near a decent wreckers.
I won't go into details, just list a few and you can search for info on them:

* Clear indicators and/or tinted edges
* Spraypainting various console bits
* LED cluster/interior lights, or putting sleeves ("condoms") on existing lights for colouring
* Dash clock
* Door speaker pods
* Verada grille
* Debadge, or rebadge with shiny new later-model chrome badges (TJ especially)
* Ignition ring light
* AMC sticker
* Chrome towbar cover ($2:D )

A bit more expensive:
* KS Verada / Diamante parabolic headlights (very popular, $200-300)
* Tint
* Audio, whatever your tastes/budget may be
* "Colour coding";- painting the side strips, bumpers, etc., to match or contrast
* Rims
* Lowering

And a whole lot more... warning, once you start, it's hard to stop!:rant:

One of the beauties of these cars is that most higher-level equipment retrofits relatively easily into a lower-trim model. Hence the term you may come across, "veradafied" :D

[EDIT] Hmm, took me that long to write that everyone else alreay replied with it all!:redface:

Thanks for all the feed back, oh and is there any other body kit aside from the ssv one thats worth looking at?

Cheers.

Most of what the above have said and a K&N Panel or Pod filter.

As for bodykits... other than SSV, there's only Custom made kits :doubt: (big $$$).

Post a pic when can. :D
