Just rang pace way and got a quote for about $1300 fitted for a new clutch. Thats ****ing outrageous. Can some one give me a place that can supply a new clutch and or have it fitted at a good price. I am selling the car to so i really dont want to put anymore money into it. Its a 1996 TE manual with 160 000 on the clock. Thankyou very much.

Ok been ringing around getting quotes for the clutch that i need (R1910N). Best i got for the clutch itself was $650 from repco. RPM gave about a $1400 fitted machined etc. So i asked paceway again if i supplied the clutch how much for the labour etc. $ 500 from them so that would be $1150 all up. So i rang repco then told them how much i could get the clutch for and how much paceway would fit it for. So his price dropped by $300 and said he supply, machine, fit etc for $1100. What do you think about that any better deals out there. Responses would be really helpful. Thanks

In October the clutch went in my TH Sports manual 3.5 V6. The first place I took it quoted me $1600 fitted. I took it to a mate of mine and then found the flywheel was nearly snapped in half! After searching virtually everywhere in Oz I had to get one from Mitsubishi for $900. My best clutch kit price was $550. Luckily my mate took pity on me and we fitted it together so he only charged me $350 labour. Still, that was $1800 out of my pocket which did not impress the missus :slap: . I think Repco's price isn't bad but you probably can beat it shopping around. Will always be high labour charge though as they are a nightmare to work on. :swearing:
