knock it down to 4k$ or less, without seeing the car we can't really help but asking price is always an optimistic geuss.

its a bit over priced for the amount of K's that its done but if your sure that the car as been looked after well and its not been thrashed it might be a safe buy you can use car point as a measuring stick

from a car yard but from a private seller you should get it at a better price

yeah i know non thrashed, the owners dad lives 2 doors down and has been a family car, drives so smooth (took a 4cyl for a drive and it almost made me cry with the difference, but it had been thrashed)

This is not overpriced at all for the low km's
The average Magna of this age would be well over 200k by now.
Provided it has been well cared for and is in good condition, I would happily pay this amount for the car.

When does the rego on the car end? You can usually use that as a bargaining tool. Unless it's got 12months, don't mention it. LOL
EDIT: As I thought you put it in there, just read now.
try 4,400. But most on carsales in similar nick go for about 3,500 / 4,000

i said 4250 (with a fixed exhaust and rego check) and he came back saying 4400 so now im looking to find cars similar or better for same price or cheaper to haggle with :)
i bought my 93 TR at 91,000 kms in excellent condition in and out for $4200...
i'd pay $3500 tops..unless its basically new, with all service records.

it has the service records and is in pretty top nic, but yeah still a bit unsure, if someone has a car thats similar for sale (or you know someone on here who does) let me know :D:D:D
if you think its worth the price, and importantly, the person selling seems legitimate...then buy it. If they've looked after the car its worth spending the extra cash.

It is a little steep and at that mileage the timing belt should have been changed, did he do it??
If it hasnt been done its a bit of a time bomb.
The longer it takes to sell the lower the price he'll accept......if no-one buys it.:)

timing belt has been done im pretty sure, i heard of this problem and asked but yeah cant member answer now lol. he hasnt made a major atempt at selling the car (he placed it forsale on the database at my dads work) so dont think much intrest, the major pro of it is that it has 12 months rego, i cant find any car that wouldnt cost same or more if you place the extra rego on it. but i may not be looking hard enough lol.

Hmmm, this one may be better but have to go see it in a day or two, tell me what you think, oh and does anyone know what the major advantages of a dealer car are???

hmm apart from a warranty not much...
they sell higher, they tend to be dodgy and the cars have problems alot of the times...in general i'd just buy private unless you've had someone look at the car and given it the all clear.

A warranty if applicable, and guarantee the car doesn't belong to someone who is not in a position to sell it.(you can do this yourself, anyway)
In other words in your price bracket they offer nothing, so remember that when negotiating a price

Congrats and welcome to the world of moding a 2nd gen.
There's a couple of audio guides floating around in the audio section (6x9 and HU install made by me)
Other stuff like interior and exterior, just look at all of TUFFTR's threads lol that'll give you some ideas!
