Whenever i turn on the ignition of my magna a really annoying buzzing sound starts (coming from the dashboard). The noise continues as i drive along and only stops when i've got the indicator on to turn left or right. Does anyone have any ideas on what's causing it? Or how to stop it?

Sounds like the ignition coil, try replacing the ignition lead first and see if that fixes it.

If the engine starts and runs, I don't think that it could be the ignition coil. Also, the ignition system would only create electrical noise, which could show up in noise from the radio. If the noise is a buzzing or rasping sound which varies with the indicator switch position, it is probably the blinker/indicator can (which contains the mechanism for flashing the indictators) or, as Ashneel said, the wiring, or connectors, to it.

Try to find the can/box under the dash and disconnect it. Just follow the sound and feel for vibration from the box. If the buzzing stops, try to get hold of another can to see if it has failed. If the problem continues with another can installed, the contacts up at the steering column may need to be cleaned/replaced.

My Jeep Cherokee also makes a loud buzz, just like Ashneel described.

Yeah sounds like altenator whine... is it from the dash or the speakers?
(if its in stereo it may sound like its coming from the dash when its actually coming from the tweeters/speakers)

I am too. Mine has just started to do this too ,play whith the indicator stalk and it will be ok. The buzzing comes from the flasher relay that is mounted down in the main junction box. I first thought that the noise was coming through the speakers the first couple of times it happened. The indicator would not work at this time.
