Are the 3.0's in the TE different to the ones in the TR's them.
This one is back to front to the TR and has the plug leads thru the rocker covers, I thort that was the 3.5. :confused: :D

Yep, theyre basically turned around 180 degrees in ALL the 3rd gens.
And the engines are very different aswell, more valves to begin with.

verada's are 3.5 all the way through from TE
K = Verada
T = Magna
I believe this topic is up there with CAI and K&N panels in terms on ANNOYINGNESS and saturation of threads.

Same block, different head. 2nd gens are 12 valve SOHC and 3rd gen 3.0 are 24 valve
SOHC. Intake runners are different as well. 2nd gens have variable length and no 3rd gens
do. 2nd gens have 10.0:1 compression ratio and knock sensors and 3rd gens have 9.0:1
CR and no knock sensors and the list goes on. They are both 6G72 model. In fact the 6G72
block is widely used, especially in Japan and the US.

But be carefull- the blocks are not all the same, I got caught with a different water pump to what the te uses. Mad ring around to repco after hours to secure the correct one. According to the book I have (mits ws manual) te/f magna were all 3.0l and th verada series used the 3.5l, If my memory serves me correct.
What consitutes being an 'Old Fart'.

Just checked said book, and the engine No. is located at the front of the block on the right hand side looking from the front. 3.5l magna's are not listed.(Thought my memory was right)
