So ive recently found that my car has a few problems, and wanting to get them fixed involves finding out what they are. This is where u all come in :D Thow some ideas at these please!

1. A loud screaching sound comes from the back of my car when i corner. This only recently started happening :S something to do with the diff? Happens more when i take a left, and if i corner slow enough u can hear it squeak to the wheels roration.

2. When i break heavily, the car shudders. To take a guess at it id say they brake pads are warped.

Assuming its a magna the diffs in the front.

It sounds like you may have brake dramas front and back, take it to a professional and get em checked.

Take someone with you who knows a bit about brakes if you can, or get 2 separate opinions.

Most places will look for little or no $$ :D

Ey man are you driving a 3rd Gen, or a 380?, I just had a look at ya profile and the engine states a 3.8Ltr SOHC thats all....

But as for the banging in the rear, maybe check your suspension, might be sitting out of its seat...

The Shuddering definalty sounds as thou your rotors are warped...If not check ya front wheels for major alignment probs...

Agreed - sounds like the rotors (ie, discs) are warped.
If the front wheels were unbalanced, the shuddering would be present even when not braking.

cars been put in for maintance and to have the brakes checked at trusted meccy. hopefully all goes well and i dont have to return any of my after-xmas purchases for spare cash.

the shuddering isnt just abs is it?
also mine squeaks, its the handbrake drums, they get dust and crap in them... if you apply the handbrake lightly does it shut up?
