my car has been off the road with gearbox trouble for a while now and tonight I just started the car to recharge the battery a little.

The car was in park with the handbrake on so I gave the car a slight rev, 2-3000rpm and the car started to move fowards.

Does anyone know why it would try and drive fowards in park, it should just rev the same as in neutral shouldn't it?

Looks like they stuffed something up. Reving the engine in P is the same as in N. Only diff
is that in P, there is a little pin that gets inserted into the box to stop the input/output
shaft from turning.
