Hi all,
I'm looking at replacing my stock TH Exec HU (Eurovox) that controls a boot-mounted 10-stacker with a KJ Verada HU + in-dash 4-stacker (also Eurovox). So I went into a wrecker today to find out if the plugs would fit each other and the KJ unit had a round socket for the stacker (and the stacker had 2 sockets, making me think you can stack the stackers :)), but the Exec HU he brought out had only the power/speaker socket - no round one for the stacker.
Does anyone know whether the Exec-style Eurovoxes have the round plug that would fit into the Verada HU? I don't really wanna pull my dash apart to find that it doesn't!
I don't really mind if there can only be one stacker connected to the HU, but I'd prefer (for obvious reasons) for that stacker to be the 10-disc one rather than the in-dash. I guess I could hook both up via the daisy chain and see if I get 14 CDs total. :)
Any thoughts?

dont think you can plug a stacker into the normal deck
best bet would to get a verada deck with an in-built stacker
or better yet buy an aftermarket h/u with a stacker output

Well my TH Solara has a 10-stack in the boot, and the HU looks just like a standard TE/TF/TH Exec item.
I have seen the back of my HU but it was a little while ago and I can't remember whether mine has the round plug for the stacker... I'm 80% sure it does, but the deck I was shown yesterday (presumably from an Exec with no stacker) had only the rectangular power/speaker/antenna harness, and I would like to find out if the Verada deck will take my 10-stack without ripping the dash apart. :)
I'm thinking I might just have to buy the KJ deck and the stacker and take the risk :doubt:. Worst case is I have an in-dash 4-stack instead of a boot-mounted 10-disc, but I like my boot-mounted stacker because (to the untrained eye) it looks like a tape deck. :)

The KJ Verada stereo isn't Eurovox. It is actually made by Mitsubishi Electric. The Diamante uses the same stereo except that it is certified by Infinity and hence carries there logo. The J series of Magna/Veradas had Eurovox stereos fitted originally then during the model life Clarion were fitted. Also the different Eurovox stacker H/U's also had different stacker plugs on them, some round, some rectangular.
If you want to stay with a factory stereo buy the KJ Verada Mitsubishi Electric one as its not a bad deck, or better still get the double din premium one out the the TL/KL range as its made by Fujitsu Ten (Eclipse). I would only get these if the price is right otherwise as stated go after market.

i just checked my standard TL deck
and it does have the port for a cd stacker
mine is a single din unit
see if you can find a wreaker that has a TL in stock or see if someone on here has one
