Ive finally pick up a TJ MY02 3.0, :)

however there are couple of things that needs attention, like touching up the body...also the fuel gauge dont work, the needle is right down at E with the fuel light on, even after i put in $25 worth of fuel.

Also the trip computer in the middle doesnt light up is this nornal? my TF was always on.

also it had its 90k service at mitsubishi dealer, however it doesnt have 105k service stamped, but its got a little sticker saying next service due 117k. It was a ex-govt car, what are the chance that the timing belt hasnt been done? and is there anyway to find out?

apart from that the car drives beautifully, 02 model wiht 115k on it. Although it is the slowest TJ out there lol

Fuel Light should dissapear after 25bucks worth, my suggestion would be to fill the whole thing up, check to see if needle moves (yes its slow)...if needle doesnt move reset ya trip odometer, prob round 500k till empty (city/hway)...Check all fuses, if still not working, the sender might have shat itself, Trip computer should light up as soon as accesories are on turned on.

As with timing belt being a government car, I would say no, generally 120000k's is the change over time

are ya sure its a 3.0 ltr ???? i thought they were all 3.5 :(

i got stung by a timing belt as well on my new tj :(
so rude to do a 200,000k service and not do the timing belt

yep its the last ever 3.0 in a magna, TJ MY02, a bid sad that it got nothing voer my tf 3.0, all the upgrades are on 3.5s, but then again no one wants the 3.0s.

The trip computer in the middle doesnt light up :doubt: i'll get that checked plus the fuel gauge. Just a bit nervous on the timing belt, dont wanna waste 300-400 on nothing, wonder if my mechanic can pick out the diffreence lol

mines a govt car I get it serviced by the book cause I dont have to pay for it lol best is to phone the dealer that did the 90,000 and ask. some places do it at that service.

MY02 is different to series 2, it was series 2 that they were all 3.5 and tiptronic and digital odo.
