As far as I know on the bottom of the Gear Box you will have a Bolt that you will need to undo, as for the second gen Im not 100% sure of where it is. I think from memory its about a 22mm head. Check out the magnet and see what crap you have on it lol

I dont know alot about the manuals... but there should be a plug near the bottom of the gearbox facing horizontally. Undo the plug and then just let it drain. I dont think theres a second plug to drain the diff in the manuals... but i could be wrong.

Which service manual do you have?

Don't know the gearbox personally, but take the "fill" plug off first, then the "drain" plug, that will let the oil drain a lot faster getting more **** out if it has any

the one that you can download from here,

so basically, all you have to do is undo the top fill bolt and bottom drain bolt, let it drain for a couple of hours and the fill it back up??

if there any filters in there at all

Yeh thats basically it! It wont take too long, probably 15mins max to get a good drain. Clean the magnetic side of the plug before re-fitting too. Theres no filters in the manual gearboxes.

also a good idea to do it while the engine is warmish, that way the oil comes out faster and you'll get the dregs :)
