View Full Version : urgent!!! amp help

hey guys, ive just re-installed all my gear... i did the power differently this time, 0awg into a distro block, with 2 4awg out.... its all wired up properly but my 2 channel audison srx 2.s wont power up!!! ive dasy chained the remote from the kicker monoblock (which is powering up) but the stupid audison wont work :doubt: ive switched the fuses in the distro block around, tested theres power going to it etc... it just wont work, it was working fine yesterday :cry: any sujjestions! its pissing me off

might wanna re-check the ground
faulty ground means amp wont power up
check the remote wire again instead of daisy chaining it chop the wire and join it there, about say 100mm from the kicker amp but it shouldnt really mater, did you join the two wires together before wacking it in the amp? just twist them together and it should be fine
have you checked the fuses on the amp?
if you want i can check it out for you ive installed a couple amps in my time

fixed man, went through it with a multimeter.... the clamp on the fuse in the distro block wasnt very firm, took it out, bent it in, checked it with the multi meter ALL SWEET :D :D thx for the quick reply mate..... now every one go and buy a multi meter from dick smith.... best tool you could have for doing audio installs..... that and a hammer haha

ah so you had one of those distrobusion blocks with the changable fuses

Make sure it is nice and tight - the fuse in the fuse block otherwise you will be melting fuse holders!!
