Thats right i have exact opposite problem to GoTRICE, My air con is freezing my headunit! its making condensation form on my heatsinks and making my cds frost over! them once it gets too bad, the cd wont work and i have to remove the h/u and sit it in the sun to dry out!
Anyone heard of anything like this?
Any ideas to fix it?

shouldnt get that cold as origional headunit would still have had probs tape or whatever. make sure that none of your vents have holes in them. sounds like one of your vents are putting the cold air on the headunit or behind the headunit. could also be one of the pipes that carry the gass for the ac could have a hole.

refidgerant gas woudnt do this. There is a join in the vents right above the h/u and ive tried to close it as best as possible. i dont know if the original h/u was sheilded from these issues or if its just that i didnt effect the tape deck of it didnt get hot enough naturaly to cause the condensation.

Why not put some thick gaffa tape over the hole from the inside where its leaking out...
