View Full Version : A/C side vent removal

As is said I would like to know if anyone has any info on how to take out the A/C vents located on ether side of the car dash, and the vents that are located in the driver / passenger door to un-fog the windows, I would like to know this because I am planning on sprayin them silver like the rest of the center console

get a thin flat head screw driver and wedge it out. they are just clipped in

Thanks is that the same for the vents in the door and also can any one tell me how to get the 6" speker covers off of the front door pannel as well

shhould be the same for the ones on the door.

and to remove the speaker fromt he ddors you have to remove the whole door trim

ouch is that hard to do and will i stuff anything up if i do it the wrong way.

Hey man, if you haven't ever taken the door trims off and need help, I'm a pro at it. Seems like I'm taking them off every bloody weekend for some reason or another.

lol you will have to show me i want to spray the 6" speaker coverings silver, i have done this with the rear 6x9 covers and looks sweet in the sun light, i will have to show u my mods i have done so far they make it look alot less stock

You have manual windows though don't you? Hmmm, haven't done them before, but should be easy... I'll ask the old man about them tonight.

its only the roler you would have to worry about though, what ever i only hope its easy to do if it aint i will talk to the ppl at strathfield they installed the speakers in the front so they should know how to pull it apart. :bowrofl:

Usually the roller has a little spring behind it to keep the handle on. SOmetimes they can be either difficult to remove or delicate. But like I said, I'll check. Besides that, all the rest will be the same as my doors.

sweet we will have to catch up im planing to do the final sprayin on my car on wednesday whan i get payed again:bowrofl: hopefully this will be the last money i spend on my car for a while, still in the planing stages and the saving stages is a VRX body kit.

can anyone tell me how to remove the interior door pannel, i have got the three screws that hold it in then i got all the clips off but it looks like to window roller is preventing me from taking it off, the Mitsubishi ppl said that there is a U shaped clip that pulles it off but i can find andy dam clip, can anyone help me, i only need the front doors off.
