well due to the lack of interest regaurding the sale of my subs and amp i decided to put it all back in and clean the install up a bit, make it less crowded, also fixed up the parcel shelf, retrimmed it and flush mounted the tweeters more centrally, i now just have a single run of 0awg through the car into a directed audio distro block.... the distro was originally 0awg in with dual 8awg outs.... i wanted to have dual 2awg outs.... so having no money the good ol' drill and dremmel made an appearance, i drilled out the terminals on the out-bound side and dremmel'd the plastic covers so the insulation didnt foul, came out a treat :D. now the install is a bit plain, and me being me i alwayse like to add my own little something to my installs, so i measured up a peice of mdf, cut it, trimmed it and mounted all my cross overs and the distro block on it the mounted the whole thing in the ski-port, look at the pics and you'll get what i mean.... so yeh, 1 and a half days work and im happy with the results, still want my JL audio 12w6 and another audison srx 2.s though :doubt: comments, oppinions? :D

haha its surprisingly cheap to knock something like that up just need some mdf which is pretty cheap and some carpet which is about $25 a meter but its 2 meters wide where i get it from so you get alot of carpet for that price :D i like to fish around dusk in the river around the south freo yatch club, get some nice black and silver brim round them parts, and some pretty big flat head with the right setup, caught a monster flatty about 2 weeks ago of como jetty :D but enough about the fish haha, more on my stereo lol

haha yeah i know the woods cheap
im a cabinet maker so i just take the wood from work, but i cant be bothered actually starting the boot install, plus im still waiting for my second amp to arrive :doubt: got all the wires any everything ready to go, just missing the main bit
where did you buy that carpet from? last time i brought it from alberts i asked for a bit of carpet showed them what i wanted and they still gave me the wrong bit, even tho they were the ones who made up my first panel
i was going to redo my boot install with blue carpet from BCF that looked pretty good
but yeah like i said i cant be bothered doing it
still got a week of holidays maybe i should start it :)

i get it from alberts myaree.... i can never be bothered either, but just go out and start and soon you'll find you can stop haha... i alwayse start with a simple idea, then i start thinkin "fu*k, where's that gonna go??" then it grows and grows.... i was only gonna put my gear back in the boot how it was, but then i wanted it tidier, and then i wanted to show off the distro and cross overs... but then i wanted the rear splits wired up, so then i had to re-do the parcel shelf etc... etc... i love car audio, especially the install side of things, im currently looking for a job in car audio, jb hifi or something yeh yeh i know but its just to get a start in the industry :D

You havent obviously been to our perth stores then...
Looking good tom. My boot is looking very tired now, after coping a years worth of damage, and my 6yr old alpine S types are starting to fall apart (litrally)
When i have some time + money i will have to redo it again, but thats the thing, i dont have time, and i don't have the $$$

Yeah Yeah yeah... Just steer clear of their installs/installers, but for the gear they sell they have pretty good value for money

i like the install, layout looks heaps better than the one before, much more usable for the boot space aswell, the crossovers in the ski hole is a cool touch aswell

thx man, thinking of flush mounting the amps behind the beauty boards now :P haha doesnt matter how many time you do an install theres always something you wanna change lol but yeh hope i can make it to the comp, dunno if my systems up to it, popped a fuse in the distro block today beltin out a 35hz test tone at near full tap so that issue has to be addressed, thinking maybe a stinger dual anl fuse distro block? (do they exist???) the fuses in the block are only 60amp cylinder types
