Hey, i have just purchased a stock as a rock 2nd gen magna and well before i go on any long drives (sydney in a few weeks) i want a cd player, so anyone know what the best of the cheepies are? prob gonna buy from jb or anywhere else cheap in ACT.

basically i would suggest anything from any of the main manufacturers, they are all about the same at that price, remember, JB can bargain ALOT, if they dont like your offer do the walk and try another time....

The JVC KD-G425 Looks like a good option For about $200ish
if you have about $50 more the KD-G525 Has AUX In (for Ipod and MP3 players) on the front of the panel Plus it just looks alot better.
The pioneer models are pretty similar to the JVC's aswel but i like JVC better

ok my head hurts now, the jvc website says the JVC KD-G425 is made for use with ipod :redface: anyone know the dealio?
Edit: Never mind it says with use of there adapter :doh:

Any major audio brand will have a cheap and simple MP3/WMA HU with basic features for about $200. Basically it comes down to looks at that price.

good news is my dad has said he'd vouch me some money towards a decent head (prob $500 now) bad news is i have to wait a while and do some kissing a$$ (cleaning Sh!t for him to sell, helping with buisness ect) :(

Hahaha i hear ya mate. I went through the same thing in my first car. My rents said they would pay for half of the system as a chrissy present but id have to do a load more chores. Tis worth it in the end.

Hey mate. there is actually a special on at jb at the moment and the base model Pioneer head unit is $99. Its not a bad looking unit and has a fair few features, might be worth having a look. I have always been a big fan of pioneer headunits.
