Cost for K&N Pod with 3" neck about $75
Cost for K&N panel - Anywhere from $65-$115
Thing with pod is if your using a round one you'll need the adaptor. = $30ish there.

hmmm so if cheap panel=better but if not then may aswell go pod and adaptor, any idea how hard it is to fit the adaptor and pod, oh and isnt there some oval one???

...oh and isnt there some oval one???Yeah, K&N have the oval one.

Some say you need it, others say round is okay.
That's another thread creator/fight.

I've got Panel at the moment - but will change to Pod this year (got the oval K&N but just not fitted yet).

I have a pod filter, nice little carbon fibre sheath on it too, no swirl factor and no flat spots. If you do get a pod filter though, grab Barry's Fuel Rail kit too.

My install: http://www.aussiemagna.com/forums/showthread.php?t=42570

The legality of the panel is also very good as the pod has to be in a sealed box which does not ventilate to the atmosphere as it is an oiled filter.

There is little gain from panel to pod on an otherwise standard car and in my opinion without a box you will lose as the pod will only take in hot engine bay air, even if you do use a $2 bit of pipe from the inner guard. The air will travel by the easiest means, from around the pipe, not through it.
