looking at tp magna elante . just want to know what their like. its got a few k's 285 i think no smoke on cold start up no rattles couple of usual magna oil leaks, could get for about a grand.

Not sure which plug you mean. Most common places for leaks are:

Rocker cover
Oil filler cap
Semi-circular plug below rocker cover on front of engine (i.e. passenger side)
Camshaft seal (rear of engine i.e. drivers side, behind water pump)
Front crankshaft seal (front of engine - i.e. passenger side)
Sump gasket
Sump plug.

Might be the oil pressure sender unit packed up? When mine let go it leaked big time. Easy to change and cheap to buy.
