im not looking at doing this well not naytime soon but can you get the new AWD system transplanted into the the FW magnas the 3rd gen magna models?cost?

Cost = Huge - due to you need to re do the entire floor pan

What model do you have? You could just buy a TJ AWD.

TF. but with AWD no more wheel spin and even if you have a front wheel drive sometimes gettin those wheels to spin is fun, although the traction of AWD would be nice

for 10-15 K - i would upgrade to teh AWD then just replace the front grill and bonnet with a TH model - just to lose the beak nose - cos the rear endon a TJ is sweeter - but yeah - thats how i would go!!

Dont bother, just buy a TJ awd.

If you really like the TF look...just buy a TF Bonnet and grille ;)

interesting theory. i use to like the tj rear lights but i am partial to the the tf ones since thats what i got. id probaly swap em for the KH verada ones for a bit of class. Does anyone here have a mivec powered magna or know a website with info about it

But the Diamante 30M came out with a DOHC 24v 6G72 3.0l MIVEC V6
182kW, not sure of the torque figure.

It will bolt into a TE+

182 not bad what about that one on rpw website if you have seen it it says its 200kw.

so if you got that mivec engine with 182 with exhuast extractors and other mods is it possible to get like 220KW out of it then.

mivec with extractors, good exhaust etc will prolly see you at the 190 mark.

Im not sure how the intakes are set up on them, if they're still the same as an ordinary sohc 24v 6G72 then you could run a double tb system and if you used haltech E11 to run it all, or a greddy emanage (I dunno how they go with variable valve timing though? Ask Dave@RPW) you'd get the 200+ mark for sure

i think that is my dream to get a mivec put it in a magna and then do heaps of work on it to extract every last KW out of it then go LS1 hunting

just another after thought. can you get upgrades for like cams and all that stuff for the mivec.

RPW has a motor for 6k.

No ecu though I dont think.

An E11 would be setting you back about 2k, prolly another 1k in fitting and tuning.

So you'd be looking at close to 10k just for that.

You could pour 10k into the motor you have now (if it's a sohc 24v) and have 200kW+

Not to discourage your idea, but just giving you an idea of what alternatives you have.

The MIVEC would be an awesome conversion.

mivec is the same way around as a sohc 24v 6G72

the non mivec is the same way around as the sohc 12v 6G72.

Besides, there's 20kW difference between the non mivec and the mivec. Something that can be made up easily.

Well RPW has a mivec for 6k no ecu (that I know of)

the non mivec you'll see them on ebay for about 800-1500 us

US didnt get them at all I believe. They were only in Japan and NZ that I know of.

i dont follow rugby anyway im from SA. But as far as i can remember in the world cup australia made the final against Eng further then NZ and who won the world cup of cricket AUs against India. India retained the trophy cuz it was a draw they still didt win the series. Give the australian cricketers a break its hard being as good as they are.
