Hi All

My first post here. Had the car for a number of years but only just found the forums. Had a big read in General and Tech yesterday but could not find anything on this.

This is pretty much my car: http://www.redbookasiapacific.com/au/vehicle/specs.php?key=MITS97GN

Sitting in N the engine sounds fine, but with the brake on and stick it in D is sounds kinda noisy/clunky. It's hard to describe. I'm having trouble getting to 500km per tank (60-63 Litres) so was wondering if the Auto Trans or Torque Converter might be dying. Car has around 235k km on it. Have recently had all the plugs changed as well as all the engine oil seals.

What do the experts reckon?

Take it to an auto trans specialist and let them do a full service. Normal services done at
auto service centres only change the oil and don't actually go any further than that.
