Well I've finished the stripe, Its been a much discussed topie at qmd events so i decided to get it finished and here it is, i realise it won't be to everyones taste, but imo i like it.

I'm not usually a fan of tripes, but they look good. They look a little wonkie on the front bar due to the shape of the bar but you can't do anything about it.

Keep up the good work and get some paras!

Yeah not a fan either.. guy at my school put two thick black strips and two thin ones down the middle of his car (3rd gen magna). Took him and a mate hours... don't really like it. Those rims are hot however :shock:

As will this one :doubt: Mightymag, I've got nothing against what you want to do IMO Scotty's stripe looked awesome, but it was and still is a very distinctive car because of the stripes. If you don't change the design people will probably give you copious amounts of crap for copying him. If you can deal with that then go for it :thumbsup:

nice.....i wanted to be different so i went for 100 and a 50 with a 25mm gap. i like how it turned out (which is basically all that matters).

On a TJ bonnet? :doubt: IMO the raised section in the middle would make the stripes look a bit strange.

More like Commodore. Falcons only have the bonnet highlights :P

If I was doing stripes, I'd do it similar to the SS Commodores. It starts on the bonnet and finishes on the bootlid. It breaks up the large panels (bonnet/roof) without looking too overdone.
