Hi guys!
Was just wondering how many types of 1 piece Paras are there for the 3 Gen?
Are those from a Diamante the same as the Aussie ones (Are there Aussie ones in the first place?)?
Are the wirings in the Aussie and Diamante ones the same?
Also do all the 1 piece have the small lights (parkers I think) below the main head light bulbs?
Cheers!

Should have a read on the headlamp FAQ seriously.
To answer your question, I been told NOT to buy Diamante lights in America, but the ones in Japan are OK.
I have however installed a one piece for a member here, and their parkers are different.
I recommend you to get a one piece parabolics mainly from Australian seller.
Do not buy any globes unless you know exactly the globes to buy.
Only the lowbeams are H7 and highbeams are H1.
PARKERS GET your Paras then DEAL with it. see what conversion may be necessary as some you will not need to mod.
As for wiring, its been covered, do a search PLEASE type parabolic wiring and you see DVS instructions on what to do.
Get some adaptors to prevent having to cut your original wiring.
Cheers!
i might be able to get u a nice set of one peice para's if u are lucky

So you are saying stay clear of para headlights that are called Diamante? Or there are Diamantes in Japan as well?? I'm confused?
Well I mean on ebay there are paras from Japan to the US so which is which???
And all of these paras no matter from where or model all have parkers? but wired differently??
I know about the changing of the adaptors from the 3 pin to the 2 pin but are all these paras like that?
Lastly can any one give me the descriptions of the paras that I can use without changing anything or with the least modifications? Maybe something from ebay that would show the pic or description as well.
Thanx alot!
Cheers!
all u gotta do is just cut one of them and earth the other. or u can just buy the adaptor kits. they are like $400 or so. there was some at labrador wreckers but they wanted $325 each light so $650 for the pair

Where would you get this adapter kits and how much do they cost?
Just to clear up what you said you meant that the para themselves cost $400 or so a pair or $650 from wreckers not the kits, right?

Oh one more thingy for all those who have installed paras did they care what type of paras they/ you got? I'm saying these because if you get them imported/ shipped in from overseas, they seem alot cheaper.
I'm guess no matter that type of paras you get they will all work properly, everything functioning after more or less modifying them?

Like said,Please do some research will ya?
The parabolics come in one piece and 2 piece type.
one piece is ALL PLASTIC
two piece uses glass lense but they do not look as cool.
IF you go for Diamante lights make sure they are from Japan not the US to play it safe.
Best and safe bet is to buy FROM Australia, if you still can't understand this than there no point saying more. First off shipping to you is cheaper and when its from Australia you know is mostly going to be compliant to your car.
The Parkers appear to be slightly different from one to another depending where you buy them from. Some WILL have parkers already ready for you and some don't and will require you to mod it yourself. If you are too afraid of this mod than you can forget the whole she bang as Installing the headlights alone requires help. I recommend you to seek an AMC member who has done this.
The adaptors I am talking about IS NOT 3 pin to 2pin!!!!! When you buy your parabolics they come with those else be prepaired to pay dealers $15.00 a piece. The adaptors I refer to are to PREVENT you NEEDING to cut your original 3 pin wiring for the mod to make your lowbeams work properly. Instructions on how to do this IS COVERED by DVS, do a search?
A better view of what are the adaptors is metnioned here:

I used them to prevent having to cut your original wiring
Prices of a reasonable buy range from 400-500 a set. They are worth the investment as you probably can sell them back at that price easily compared to most other parts.
Get your parabolics then you have a better idea of what we are talking about, else we are just keep explaining things that you are not certain about.
Step 1 buy your paras
step 2 examine them and see what needs to be done especially the parkers, as some of these been mod there is no need to do anything extra.
step 3 get the appropriate globes
step 4 understand how to do the wiring and why it must be done (cannont be avoided)
step 5 have someone to help you, doing it alone will likely take you 4-6 hours of hell.
step 6 show off your mod.
cheers!

the lights from the US are useless because they drive on the wrong side of the road so the beam pattern is backwards.

From what it says its from Japan. Risky but I think you should be fine, ask for some AMC members to help you with the installation if possible.
Take some pics when the lights arrive.
Make sure you insure THEM.

I guess the next headache is the installation part. One I gladly take.
P.S: Would like to thanx Nexus (A real expert on Paras! Ha ha) for all his inputs!

Nah mate just doing my part, AMC have a lot of good members here. Hope you can get one member to help you in your area. Post it within your state to request for some assistance, I am sure at least one member might be near enough to come over to give you a hand.
Do not rush this mod, make sure you know what is to be done. And do it in the morning or you be stuck with no lights at night.
Cheers! Keep us updated.

Hey for all the bulbs on the Paras, should I just stick to the ones that are on the original Magna ( of course those with Paras i.e Veradas...)? Will that be ok?

The bulbs are pretty much standard, dont get cheap lousy ones ESPECIALLY WHITE light or in other words those blue bulbs. They may overheat and melt your lense as it is plastic for the one piece paras.
The normal yellow light which used by day by day cars are mostly fine. If you want better light get Narva Plus 50 or Philips Vision Plus.
I will wait for your news on your parras as you be more familiar with what is needed. I am using White Light (bad example) but thats because I love the colour and my parabolic lense is glass, not to mention I am also using philips brand bulbs.

I've got a new problem well sort of..
Err how much are bulbs going to cost me. The sent comes with them but I'll probably change them to be on the safe side I guess. Could you guys recommend the best some types of bulbs like brand and price etc?
I'm probably going to change all the bulbs so its going to be quite costly I think. Well do let me know about the brands, type of bulb and prices. Cheers!

Thanx for that reply. I've read more or less everything on headlights and Paras. But I still cannot really find all the types of bulbs I need for my paras.
I just got my Paras and I'm planning to change all the bulbs in them. Planning to get BJ Union.
So can anyone tell me all the types/ size of bulbs I need? I know one of them is H7. What about the rest like the city lights/parkers and so on. How many light bulbs are there in the Paras anyways?
Cheers!
