If they are H4 I will give you a BEER!(honest)

They are not H4!

The Lowbeams are H7!

You will know that the bulb are attached to a 3 pin plug! Just like the H1 for highbeams.

Is written in the headlamp FAQ.

And those who are not sure please do a search.

I think You might have bought a set of parras WITHOUT the Step down adaptor!!! thats why is rattling around. YOU will find a H4 wont fit. Give it a try if you doubt me.

The step down adaptor can be bought for $15.00 each from Dealers but I will goto the wreckers first.

Cheers!

I'm a non believer...

When the high beam is turned on, both globes in the headlight are illuminated...

Therefore there must be 2 filaments in the low beam globe.... ;)

Can you Proudly show off your parras with H4 on?
As you are confusing the people in this thread. Is misleading (not an attack) but you do know they are supposed to be H7 globes do you? Or you guys bought the paras without the proper adapators like the Highbeams.

They are orginally H7 and if you did a mod thats a different matter altogether.

Heath youngs FAQ: http://www.aussiemagna.com/forums/showthread.php?t=23184

They state what globes to use for standard and Parabolics.

Thats a Part where MAKES a lot of people confuse when you do not have a set of parabolics, they may not understand what we are talking about. I had a friend who bought his set missing one of the adaptors for the H7. I could imgine if someone sold a set without both of them making it more confusing as you would never know then.

I was confident on the type of bulb as I have installed both one and two piece parabolics, and so if anyone says its a different size other then H7 for lowbeams, they most likely have mod it to fit.
This adaptor part has also confused me in the begining making me think the H1 highbeams were H3C ! you have to take them out and remove the globe from the holder in order to realise it.

New people who are insterested in parabolics should understand the following before you get a set.

differences between 1 piece and two piece
What globes is needed.
The parkers problem, Are they already made? Do I have to drill or make some mods for them?
Wiring issue (look for DVS write up) do a search I assure you wont miss it.
How do you install them when is one piece parras
Adjusting the lights

These are covered but I know they are sometimes all over the place, do some search you will find them.

Cheers!

Sure are! No fun to put in the 1st time, its OK after that. Also, buy Osram silverstars or Phillips Vision bulbs. I didn't at first, and I really had trouble seeing at night. The ~20% brighter blubs help, but they are on the limit of what I'd put in. I get flashed sometimes because people think I'm on high beams. If you read the excellent FAQ from Heath, the lens is the problem, it's ****. Exec lights are much better. Thats why I'm going to get spot lights, sick of not seeing roo's until the last second!

I have improved my paras using new LED parkers. They look good and bright too for just parkers.

I agree we tend to aim the lowbeam to high and we get flashed by people sometimes.

Are the parkers wedge type?? and what type. Just finished putting mine in and now looking at changing the low beams to either Diamond vision or Crystal vision ( Philips) and getting white led parkers [Dang wished i did this before i put headlights in]

Good question, The one piece and two piece parras could be either the wedge type OR originally using the circular pin. I noticed some uses the circular pin type on the one piece parabolics and I believe its the original setup.

For those who mod to fit parkers into their parabolics usually use the ones from the standard headlights which are the wedge type. So it depends on how you did them.

Only the lowbeams and highbeams are confirmed H7 and H1. I recommend you to use the lower Crystal visions as they come with a set of Wedge parkers. However do note that they are considered illegal due to the brightness in some states or in fact all states.

cheers!

Luckily the set i got from QnsLnd (single piece) came as originals with parkers so it may be plug not wedge type.... didn't know the Crystals came with the parkers also?? Are these brighter than normal parkers

They should be the same white brightness or it be a odd set.

Do note that they may not last as long, due to the temperature etc...
