Hey Second Genners....
I have a TJ VRX manual and due to work commitments I need a station wagon, rather than selling up I thought I'd just get a cheap second gen wagon instead.
So people is it worth buying a KS Verada Touring Wagon Manual? (only 50 made apparently)
I have been offered one but it's done mega kays (330000 but only for 700 bucks  )
I'm not fussed about the kays though cos I'd upgrade and replace everything.
I'm thinking a DOHC from New Zealand would be nice, I have connections for shipping so that would save me money.
So should I or I shouldn't I, am I buying trouble and a project which is just going to cost far to much? hmm

Hi, I wouldn't worry about the kays, there's one on ebay that's an auto touring wagon which has 567.000km's at $800.I own a manual wagon with 99.000km's and if I had $700 I buy it.
I just fixed up a 1994 TS v6 manual wagon that cost me $660 and a wreck for $600 which had a good motor ,cv joints and lots of other good parts. Now I have a really good TS with 207.000km's that cost $1300.

Puck dat!
Leave the motor in there, and just service it regulaly until it eventually goes on ya.

Unless of course you get attached to the car and feel compelled to spend thousands on it. If you dont, then just regular servicing etc should see it last many more thousand's of k's

That is super cheap man, snap that up!

']Puck dat!...You talkin' to me :bowrofl:
I agree with the above. Buy it if ya like it. There's not many of these around. Last one I saw was in great condition and was goind for around $6K - but then 2nd genners were worth more then.
If you don't buy it let us know - one of us may pick it up. lol

A manual Verada would be nice.

As for KMs, hard to tell. If it's been looked after (regular services, treated well, etc.) the engine is good for many many more Kays. If not, then... hmmm, guesswork.

Is it burgundy? (all the others I've seen are).

As for the one on ebay - is it a real Touring wagon - coz it's an auto ?

...As for the one on ebay - is it a real Touring wagon - coz it's an auto ?Okay, I''ll correct myself. Found this bit of information...

"The premium export version of the V6 wagon was sold locally as the Mitsubishi TS Verada Touring Wagon in December 1995 in a limited edition of only 81 manuals and 99 automatics. For its time, the Aussie-designed wagon was an outstanding example of packaging and this rare Touring wagon was the stand-alone version."

So there was Auto Touring Wagons.

Sounds definately worth it, when the engine goes bust you can sell off parts. Parras are a quick way to make up half what the car cost you.
