Easy to replace? Do I have to take off the Plenum chamber to get to em?
Cheers.
Clarky.

yes
No removal of manifold needed on 2nd gen sohc's. Be careful breaking the seal as you can snap them... ie weird angles needed to undo; easy though

Sorry GoTRICE - is that Yes, it's easy? Or Yes, I do have to take of the Plenum chamber?
Thanks.

I have never taken off the plenium to change mine and never have had any trouble. I just reach in round behind the engine. done mainly by feel rather than sight but no problem. The fronts are of course very easy.

i've changed them before, but i used platinum plugs for the back, they'll last a long time.

i did mine about two weeks ago, i thought it was quite simple if you use a long extension on the socket for the back 3.
check the angle on the front three if you need too, but i was able to see the back ones when i stuck my head back there.... there is a lot more room than what it looks

Where can I buy some copper grease? Not many places seem to sell it here.

OT but related, is taking off/putting back the plenum a simple procedure, or complicated? I guess the main question is, do you need gasket sealant and all that stuff, or is it just bolt off, bolt on?

No you do not have to take off the manifold and yes use anti seize greese available from most parts shops.
If you take off the manifold, you do not have to replace the gasket however it is recommended, if you do get genuine as the after market paper ones are crap DO NOT USE SEALANT!

Thanks Guys. Changed em earlier today. Bit fiddley, but by no means difficult. Top tip - keep the old plugs as spares in the car (unless they're completely knackered) - always handy to have incase your car blows one out or "eats" one. Same to be said for Dizzy cap and HT leads - if they're not shot (ie you're just changing em from a maintenance point of view), keep the old ones as spares in the car - could save you a bit of time and cash - especially if you're far from home....

Did you upgrade from standards to the Super 4's or from iridiums/platinums to the super 4's?

Just make sure the gapping is correct. Sometimes they're not gapped as they should be, even though the person selling it will tell you they're all ok. Better off checking them...takes a few seconds to check each one.
