Basically all my music is now in digital format. Is there any such head units that basically can upload songs from your PC, external hard drive to the head unit without using discs. I've seen the USb head units but not sure whether this is the way to go or not.

I have a Toshiba Gigabeat S60GB and was thinking of connecting that up as an auxillary ....but i'm not to keen on having that in the hot car etc....

seen some with SD memory card slots not sure which brand i think they were some el'cheepo sort

that may work but it hardly would be as good as he was thinking of putting his 60GB hard drive in and whats the best sd card these days? 4GB and they are how expensive?

I paid $62 for a Mini SD 2gb :D

well that is much cheaper than ive seen, thats a good deal TUFF, congats. still sd isnt solving his question of putting his 60GB drive into the car

yeah i was looking at gettin a jvc 425 or whatever they called, has the usb in front, was thinking an external hard drive would be cool.

you could do what i have planed

carputer

u could make you own and install it in the boot or i have seen custom carpcs that go into a hu slot and the you just hook up to a touch screen i used to have the link for the company but i think i have lost it ill just do a ebay search

or I have seen 60-80gb hard drives bulit into the headunit and it is still regular sized at 1 din. Only catch is it is from china, so not good quality. Stay branded!:cool:
