ok ive been putting it off too long now, i gotta change my MANUAL gearbox oil, its startin to get too sloppy for my liking.

basically how do i do it? whats the best reasonably priced oil to use? wheres the plug? how do i flush it out when i dump the oil?

i wanna do this right the first time so if all these q's get answered id be grateful

i asked this question a while ago as well,

all you have to do is go for a quick drive around the block or something,so basically, undo the top fill bolt and bottom drain bolt, let it drain for a couple of hours and the fill it back up,Do have you go the service manual it will show where the plugs are , if not ill send some pics of it. Make sure you buy the tanny oil stuff from Mitsubishi (thats what i was told) and yea thats it, very eaey.

sif bother with mitsu oil.... just make sure you get the right grade oil and ur sweet...
i think its 35 weight from memory

If you go into the transmision oils aisle in supercheap or whatever they should have castrol/valvoline/penrite books there
look up your car/year/engine/trans and it will tell you what oil to use.

If you wanna spend a bit more, maybe get a good brand shockproof gear oil. Much nicer shifts with it too!

I agree, synthetic transmission oil is magic :thumbsup:
Castrol Syntrans 75W-85 made TR box sweet after having slow & clunky change even with Mitsu recommended oil.
Supercheap have the stuff for about $25/litre. Redline product gets good reports, bit more expensive I believe.

:D Where are the top and bottom plugs???? theres like 50 bolts on the box alone lol. Penrite oil represent. Gettin mine changed with a new clutch in a week :D cant wait! its about 2 Litres ay?
