Hey all
*** Please Note : This is not a debate on Air Filters ***
I've been calling a couple of places to get a K&N Panel Filter for my TJ and the prices range from $130 - $150 (Burson - Autobarn). Does that sound right?
However from RPW :

Its $68
Can i trust them?

If its a genuine K 'n' N Air filter, as in the red white box with K 'n' N plastered all over it. Yeah $68 bucks is cheap as. Wouldnt matter where ya got it from but $68 almost sounds as thou its a second hand unit. Have a look at the filter (If you can) check to see if all panels are straight n clean, a well looked after K ' n' N will last forever

I was looking at gettin a pod filter for my TH but the guy at autobarn said that the bolt pattern was different but he said that the Apexi ones have the same bolt pattern, but you can get a plate that fixes that prob with the K n N, but which one is better the Apexi one costs about the same as the K n N with the bolt on thing.

^^ Repco in Cairns sells adapter plates to fit to your airflow meter that you can attach a pod to, $30.
But i'd go a K&N panel, less legal issues and just as good as a decent pod.

Out of those two i would go the K&N panel filter. No exposed pod means you wont get hassled, and as said previously if you look after it, it will last for ages and ages.
RPW are trust worthy, they aint some bog el cheapo store. More likely find coz they do a lot of magna specific stuff they can sell them cheaper.

Thanks for all the posts guys. Will be shopping around some more in the coming days. The price at RPW does not inlcude GST and Shipping. Also did some search and found a couple of arguments for the K&N Filter against the stock one. Interesting
