How many people here use Mobil 1 5W-50 - Driving Excellence Oil ?

I use Mobil 1. Not sure of the viscosity though...
Never had any issues and car runs smooth as.
I do an oil filter and oil change every 5,000 ks.

used to but nah, now Motul seems to work better than Mobil 1

I'm using mobil 1 and leaving it in for 20k. No isusses and it might use half a liter in 10k. Seems a long way but the local mobil oils man says that it good for at least 40k. As it is fully synthectic, it doesn't break down with time, as mineral based oils tend to do..

40,000km's with out an oil change :noway: :noway: :noway: hmmm i dont think so, every 5,000 for me thanks.

Penrite HRP 10 best oil around for the price if you ask me also dont forget to change the good old filter bloody easy to do on 3rd gens :)

We use the Castrol Magnatech, good stuff.

Even Mobil 1 claims 10000km or was it 14K max on the bottle. Well honestly if you care for your care you would inspect it every month or so or before any long distance trip.

5000km for full synthetic is a bit of a waste but of course is always up to individual. I would push it up to 7-9000kms before changing for fully synthetic or when the oil looks very dirty.

i use that too :) i definately wouldnt leave oil in for that long, even if the oil lasted i wouldnt want little bits and pieces floating round in the oil

I use Castrol GTX3, which is a load of ****. Something makes a damn noise after around 5000km. Is it the lifters? Sounds really bad. Changing to Mobil1 soon.

I use Shell Helix Plus, change oil and filter every 5,000.

Also clean air filter (K&N), and check/clean throttle body and check/top up all fluids, also put in a bottle of injector cleaner.

Never had an issue.

Used Magnatec once, engine didnt like it much rattled alot and didnt seem to run so nicely, drained it after 1,000km and put the helix plus in it and used it ever since, except once when they didnt have any I put Penrite HPR10 in it, ran fine except lifters were noisy for about 5 mins on startup, pretty embarassing.
