Well my air conditioning has been making a cluncky noise, and everytime i stop at traffic lights it would blow hot air!! for a while now and thought i would finally go and get it looked at.

I was expecting a huge bill as i thought the compressor had gone.

Only to be told that the problem is a common one in our models. and it's a couple of relay that tend to burn out.

Just thought you might want to know that information!!!!!!

Ok air con related question.
After getting the heads done and like 89 HG's (lol) everything works good cept the air con.
If im driving along and i turn it on, its fine.
When i come to an idle, the cars idle speed drops to below 100.....
possibilitys?

How long's it been doing this for? How long since the power was last disconnected? Might take a while to retrain, but shouldn't take too long.

mmm, in the old ks, the car would shake and carry on when on idle with a/c on, but that was because the idle speed control screw was snapped :D got that replaced and it was schweet!

I'll chat to my mechanic about it.
umm battery has been dc'd so many times ive lost count, sometimes for 10-15 minutes, sometimes for like 2+ weeks

Should i just USE it for a while and see if anything improves?

is there a replacement air con that doesnt load up the engine so much. it sucks so much power from the engine. in the hot weather i just put the windows down so i can go faster

i wouldnt even bother thinking about that.
the mitsu air cone is one of the best around for old cars...my air con is 14 years old now (yeek) and still colder then anything.

I guess its put up with it or put a supercharger there:D
