Hey guy's my power steering stoped working about 7 months ago, there's no oil leaking and its not making any bad noise's or anything, just getting sick of the heavy steering, so any idea's, and yes there is oil in it!

i looked at that but it would be easyer to pull the motor out first, you'd never get a spaner in there lol, oh and im in qld, car still in vic

First thing to check is the pump is pumping, has fluid which if it does not it will scream. I think from memory there was an ECU control as well, geting rusty now lol. If so there may be an issue here as well. I remember on the TF's there was an issue with the PS cutitng in and out and there was a recall on it, was something to do with the ECU control from memory

no no - jack the car up and take off the driver's side wheel, then remove the plastic splash shield attached to the rails beside the engine - access to the pump and belts is then easy.

Yep it was cutting in and out for a wile and then it just stoped all together, i know there is a presure switch in the pump but i though that was just to tell ecu the pump is working??? not sure. ill check it out though

the only think i can think of is its a sticky valve or something in the pump!!!
