Hey guys i just bough a JVC KD-LH3105

I just had a question on installation,

ive got a 96 TE Altera Double din stock headunit already in there i just need to know what plugs it has stock,

im not sure what harness to buy, i dont wanna cut the plug as ill take the unit with me when i upgrade to an AWD magna down the track:)

i had a look at aerpro.com, and these seem to be the options:

http://www.aerpro.com/cgi-bin/product.cgi?pcode=APP0111&make=&model=

http://www.aerpro.com/cgi-bin/product.cgi?pcode=AP7011&make=&model=

can any1 help?
either of these fit?

also any other tips for getting it in or taking the other out? :)

Instead of cutting the stock plugs off the harness, splice into the wire about an inch before the connector. That way when you move the JVC unit you just cut the ends of the JVC harness off, and tape up each wire then the stock harness just plugs right back into the factory unit.

Its not hard to take the middle console out of the car (bout 5 mins)

Your best bet is to do that and have a look at the harness.

On the TJ - VRX (with CD player) it had the single harness..

I actually cut all my cables before finding out these existed.. one day ill rewire a harness back into the car..
