Hi guys
May be it’s stupid question, but I want to ask.
My car is a magna TJ 2001 and it has got a normal air-con unit.
If can get an in-dash climate control unit, can I feet it in my car and will it work?
Please assist.

Isnt there a control that allow the direction of flow of the airconditioning?
Or is your control unit damaged?

No it won't as you need the sensors in the dash and headlinng amongs other bits.

Serious question here...
What if I don't want to use the "AUTO" function on the climate?
... so we don't worry about the sensor/s bit
Can the climate control's frontend be able to be used just for turning on/off the AC?
hmm yeah the directional control and also the Outside/Recirc control need to be electronic'd,
otherwise standard AC is cable operated isn't it... :doubt:

I have spoken with one of the guys up here, they said it will be a time consuming and expensive job... So better to leave this at this point.
Thanks guys.

It wont work for two reasons
1 standard aircon controls are cable operated / climate control is vacuum and electronic controlled
2 the plugs that go into the units are different hence why cars come factory with climate or standard A/C
It is changable but you need the whole wiring loom and sensors ( There is 4 in std and 6 in Climate )
