Considering most ppl on this board have some pretty nice sets of wheels, i was just wondering which wheel/tyre shop u guys recommend (to purchase rims) for someone in the sydney area as im finding it really difficult to compare prices. By recommend im talkin price, service and honesty wise.

Any help would b appreciated.

I'd go Ozzytyres, personally. But nothing goes past a private seller, in my opinion.

Me too!
But - like always, never trust anyone "blindly" After all, their interest is to make bux.
They have nice specials too with ROHs. They're in Wiley Park.
But remember that 7.5 inch width is max what NRMA approves (in TE and up). Just car doesn't care, but they are more expensive.

7" on TJ???? But I read on an online review for TJ Magna Sports that the wheels are already 7.5".

So what are you mean to do go down 0.5" :x

stupid insurance companies.

Just because a small amount of people like to modify their car to go past the legal limit and engage in illegal activity, they believe anyone who modifies their car wants to do the same :x .

Don't they realise that most of us feel better about ourselves when we see our beautifully lowered and kikass looking car sitting in our driveway and we feel even better driving such a work of art.

Insurance companies defy the whole idea of not stereotyping!!!! If someone lives in a poorer neighbourhood, they will charge them more because of 'possible' thefts and if someone is under 21, they will triple their premium because they look like troublemakers.

...ummm....sorry everyone i just realised this has nothing to do with 17 X 7" wheels  ah well just expressing my opinion (even though it dusnt make sense :p )

they charge u so much as there is more chance of it gettin stolen...so the more they charge the less theyl have to pay bro!

dont goto TEMPE...i got my cencept 5 copies from there n they cracked...they refused to repair/replace. After the last visit im un welcome there!

goto either aussietyres or aussie best. both are very good!

considering aussietyres only sell genuine...no copies!

Insurance companies run on one word: RISK. It is nothing to do with stereotypes, get real. One customer subsidises another's claim, did you really think that when you submit a claim the company pays out of their own pocket? Of course not, and hence if your risk of claiming or if the amount of your claim is likely to be higher then guess what... Higher premium!!

For my rims i went to Top Ten Tyres. I got a price from Australia's best, who didn't really want to know me, went to Top Ten and they were fine. Helpful and friendly and liked the idea of doing up a magna. They may look like they belong to Saddam's family, but nice guys. I recommend they to any1.
