sounds like a good deal.. and will they fit..
the only reason i want 17s instead of 18s is because i hear that it voids insurance if you go more than 2inches past standard wheel rim hieght.. correct??

i got a mate selling some 18 inch shadow chromes for about $1000 (just rims, like brand new).
They are off his R33 skyline and apparently will fit a 3rd gen magna

um how are you gonna get those rims if you want 12 months interest free? they look like a private sale. also id check they have the right stud pattern and offset. and why are so many people unclear about what mods they can do to their cars. is it that hard to get on the phone for 10 mins and ring your insurance company to find out. vauge generalisations wont cut it because every IC has different policys.

Hey Tim-e are those HR Racing rim (model 109) if so they will not fit on the magna as i have just found out after the dealer did not warn me of this and now have to change them, the rear is alright but the front stick out about 10mm from the rim to the guard and another 10mm from the for furthest part of the spoke. This is not roadworthy and u will not be able to lower your car even with a camber kit at the front. Great rim but thought id give u a heads up

yes , you can only go to 17" for insurance ,
advice : 17 " tyres = 30,000 klm with good rotation at $ 200.00 each
18 " tyres = 20,000 klm with good rotation at $ 300.00 each
17" look good and last you alot longer , also get chrome , i got polish alloy and you have to polish all the time
hope this helps

I don't think any of the advice regarding tyre wear and insurance coverage could be generalised. A 18" tyre compared to a 17" tyre of the exact same compound and width on the same care are going to wear the same. If anything the 18" might wear that tiny bit less due to less sidewall flex.
Same with insurance; check with your vendor!!!
when i was insuring my baby - i asked if i can get 18's - NRMA said YES - as long as they're no bigger than 7" in width.
