Yup got them in earlier tonight looking good, however came across 3 problems...
1. As I bought the parras separate (right, then left) both are different brands, one has branding all over it and the other doesn't
2. The parker connector on the left parra does not fit with the TR's stock connection..anyway around this? Also is it illegal for parkers to not work?
3. The left parra has a whiter light and is noticeable different to the right hand side parra. Should I go out and buy a pair, or hit and miss with one? Is the cover difficult to remove?
Looks good with the lights off! Pic below (car is wet)

My personal view with pairs is that they should match - so if they don't match, they're not really a pair! It's up to you what you do (it's your car after all), but if it was me, I'd be ditching one in favour of getting a replacement that matches the other. It could look a bit silly otherwise! Pain in the ****, but what look are you really after?

Big improvement aren't they MuteLabs? I love them, looks awesome on silver/black cars (not too shabby on my blue-grey car either, or Pauls lol)
The colour change you speak of is obviously the bulb, so just change your headlights to some nice Phillips ones. As for your parkers, my paras came with a wiring harness for them anyway, so I didn't need to do anything bar cut off my existing harness plug thing and crimp the new one onto the old two wires. I don't see why it would be illegal for the parkers not to illuminate, but they must be there for a reason :doubt:

Well the design and everything looks the same, the only diff is some branding.
Yeah might as well change the bulbs, thinking of blue ones but not sure...
Yeah the right parra had a proper connection the connected to the parker connection fine, but the left one, the connector was too wide to fit, I spose I could cut part of the connector to make it fit and then connect it, however it will look dodgy, and sale value will be crap.
But yes, I was a bit sceptical as to how it would look with my color, and I am very impressed and happy with it.

If you like the way it looks as is, then there's nothing to worry about. I'm assuming the branding doesn't stand out too much then? Or does that add to the look?
do you or any one else know of a way to tint the clear indicators without blocking to much of the "flashing" as i recon they'd look heaps better with darker covers but wouldn't want to stop the effectiveness of the indicator itself http://www.aussiemagna.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=27332&d=1167449356

I have 2 sets of parras and both are made by Stanley but 1 set has just Stanley 7076 on the lens and the other pair all sorts of numbers and letters.TS Magna looks better with amber indicators when it has parras than the clear ones. That's all I did is cut the plug of on the head light and put connectors on the wires from the light and the plug wires.

For the parker connector? I really don't want to cut it though.

Cut and spliced wires aren't going to effect resale price in the slightest, if that's what you're worried about. Non-working parkers will! :D

This is probably going to sound like a pretty dumb question...but how do I tell if my TS has paras or not? I'd never even heard of them before coming on here, and it has had some work done to it by previous owner(s) - exhaust, alloys, 10-stack CD, etc. So there is a chance that they might have put them on too, but I wouldn't have a clue! The lights don't look sick to me at all, so if they're really that bad stock, maybe mine aren't stock? Or I have lower standards than you! :bowrofl:

First pic are paras. The second pic are the standard magna lights.
And I highly agree that the amber indicators go better with the paras. I had clear indicators and side indicators too. But they didn't look as good as the amber ones (like shown on my avatar)
Unless you tint them a bit like AJ's ones. And Paul's ones look good too for some reason! Haha dunno maybe it's just my car

could you open the clear indicators and spray the inside matt black

Ehhh i guess you could using hi temp spray and just make stencils for the parts you want blacked out? lol
Give it a try
But paras aren't just sprayed on :D
They actually make a difference when projecting the light onto the road as well.

its possible, but they wouldnt reflect then and therefore would be dull as, although if you planned it really carefully you might be able to do it properly without losing 2 much brightness

Hey Rogue, btw, is that you in your avatar dressed up like flash gordon? :shock:No, that's none other than Mark Hamill, as seen in Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back. That's a quote from his character in my sig...:dancin:
As for the clear indicators, I think the way to go would be to heat off the lenses, remove the orange and do the clear-globe mod, clean up the inside of the lense, and then spray a masked area of the inside of the lense with black. Spraying the outside just doesn't look right.
Was going to do this, but got Gerard's old amber ones, suit my car colour better I think. But I still had to pull apart one lense, I transfered the lense of one of the ambers to the body of one of the clears, as the amber had water damage to the reflector.
I used a hot air gun, don't know if anything else would do the job. Would be a bit suss aout sticking them in an oven.
