Is that legal?

And really, I can't see the point, nice clean looking job though.

I would have colour matched to the car personally, they're going to stick out like dogs balls. You need to make it seem like it's part of the body, well i thought that's what eyelids were all about anyway.

yeh, eyelids are supposed to blend in and change the shape of the headlight.... not be a thing all on their own if ya get me

Yeah, It's just I don't have the paint to match the car atm.

That black magna is HOT!

Nice clean job dude, you should write up a whole DIY thing.

OK guys, If you are interested in making one... This is how I do it.

Part 1

In the making photos:

http://i122.photobucket.com/albums/o248/MagnaTech07/DSC00069.jpg
Materials needed:
Fibreglass repair kit (from Magnet Mart) $26.09
Cheap paint brush
Sand Paper
Canister (for mixing) get from your Mom
Masking tape
Rubber gloves
Protective Mask
Car Filler
Paint (primer and your desired color)
Double adhesive tape
Aluminum foil
Rubbish bag or plastic sheet
Cutter or angle grinder

Safety:
1. Use a clothing the will protect your skin from fibreglass (fg) mat, you don't want the feeling once it gets on your skin.
2. Use protective mask as you may not want the smell of the chemicals, also you don't want to breathe the fg particles.

http://i122.photobucket.com/albums/o248/MagnaTech07/DSC00070.jpg

1. Remove your front grill
2. Take a piece of aluminum foil and mask on your indicators (you don't want to melt your indicators don't you?)
3. Mask your headlight as well, you can also put on foils if you want but masking tape should do it. Make at least 2 layers of tape.
4. Get your plastic sheet and cover your working area (as shown in the photo).

Part 2

5. Before mixing the chemicals, read all the instruction attached to the FG kit.
6. Cut to size the FG mat, I made 3 for each since I don't want it to be thick.
7. Mix the chemicals, I was able to use only 2/3 of the can for this project.
8. Brush the chemicals on the area,
9. Then place 1 piece of FG mat then brush with chemicals.
10. Continue the step#9 until you finish the 3 layers (make you brush enough chemicals on the mat, it should be transparent).
11. Do the same to the other side.

Note: If there are bubbles, simply press it with brush to remove it.

Part 3

12. Get a bottle of beer and drink while you are waiting it to dry.
13. Once it dry, draw the shape you always wanted for your eyelids.

14. Remove the FG from your headlight and cut using a cutter or angle grinder

15. Put on some car filler, let it dry and wet sand until it's smooth

Nicely done mate and a good walk though! I like this mod as it is nice and subtle but will stand out well against a standard magna.

Again well done and thanks for the pictures !
