SO that's what they were building when I was there installing an Alarm and immoblizer.
HAHA.. I saw some of the boxes and frames for the subs when i was in their work shop. He said it was some top secret project. so it was an Ambo. Haha.... great !

Yeah makes my 1 cadence 12" Sub look lonely with my 1 cadence amp. But it goes pretty hard anyway  . I think mine is the same as the ones they are using ultradrive orange with the big silver cone in the middle. But i Only got the 600w, 4ch Amp.
Had to silcone the TR boot to stop it from rattling. ;) .

Thats because they have a sensitivity of like 94db are are rated at 350WRMS  so give them 200WRMS+ and they will put a smile on your dial.
Hmmm thinking of getting a Ultra drive 12inch and hooking it up to an Audison SRx2 so it will get 600WRMS. Wonder if that will be loud

They are available in 10, 12 and 15inch sizes. I think they are more for spl but they do sound ok as cadence have their Q drive range for SQ. Also the oranges have a high sensitivity as i said before, between 92 and 95 db with the 12 being 93-94.
The ultra drive subs are all SVC but come in 2 or 4 ohm, and the 12 and 15inchers are rated at 350WRMS. As for price you are looking at:
10inch.. RRPAU$210
12inch.. RRPAU$260
15inch.. RRPAU$350 ( i think )
Have seen a 12inch in a ported box from JB hifi for $335.

2000+wrms from a Crossfire VR2000d or 4000WRMS from 2 Audison VR500.1 powering a Digital Dynamics 9970 would also be interesting. :D

Hi All,
First of all thanks for all of the interest in our Ambulance! Glad to see that the people up at SummerNats this year enjoyed our endeavour!
As for the specifics of the Cadence Ambulance here's a brief rundown:
146 Speakers
32 Amplifiers = 30,800w RMS (46,000w Peak)
34 Batteries (at peak volume the system pulls 3,360amps of current!)
1.6kms of speaker cable
1.2kms of power cable
3900 man hours to build
As for some of the things I read on here, to clarify:
The Cadence Ambulance is the WORLD'S BIGGEST Car Stereo. It is NOT the most expensive, nor the most pwerful, or even the loudest!
The category that the Ambulance fits into is something called SQL (Sound Quality Loudness) What this means is that it can actually play music at extrememly HIGH Volumes! Competitive SPL cars, when properly built, cannot play music. We also have another vehicle which is a Hyundai Excel which was the loudest street driven vehicle in Australia for the 2003 season and pushed out 162.8dB in competition. The Ambulance on the other hand puts out approx 150dB with Music. This is measured with all the doors open and from 2 metres behind the car! The current World Record for SQL (aka dB Driveby) is in the neighbourhood of 153-155dB
Anyway hope you liked it, stay tuned for future shows!
Cheers,
Scott
