Gday peeps, this is a bit of a saga. First thing is my TJ magna is making whinenig noises when turning and the back tyres are scrubbing out on the inside so I takes it to this tyres joint(gy)for replacement of tyres and front and back wheel align.Thought it was all sweet.Car didn't seem to handle as well after(floating effect on freeway)Next thing whineing sound has gone but over the next month sqecking sound happens and gets worse.Go to pedders they tell me rear bushes are stuffed $800 to fix,go to a mate tells me he can fixbut i have to buy the whole back sway bar as bushes in it can only be drilled out,he said something about spacers but he wasn't sure that would work.Anyways am getting the job done.Rang back our friendly tyre people and asked why I was charged for back and front wheel alingn when the back was so ****ed,got the old blame the apprentice biso and i was only charged $45 for front(told me back and front was $55)said they were sure no back aling was poss in a TJ.I said Don't give a feck should have been told that things were stuffed(can move the back tyre 2inches with hand)Told me to bring it there tommorow sat (am getting the job done on monday)and they would look at it to see what went wrong.Should i put it on them for a new back tyre that has srubbed heaps in the past 2 months?any advice bout this situation would be great.........sorry if I have left some scrachting heads:doubt: tried to exlain best I could. Thanks in advance peeps:) all the best Martin

No offense but it's really hard to read and alot of people will just say fek that, would help alot to use some sentences and line breaks :).
Anyway if they knew about the rear end being stuffed (as it looks like they've blamed the apprentice, that's good because they have admitted fault) then they should morally be up for a replacement tyre. I say morally because in reality they probably couldn't give a stuff.
Biggest tip i can give you is NEVER EVER go to Peddars, biggest rip offs i've ever known.

Gday peeps,this is a bit of a saga..
First thing, my TJ magna is making whinenig noises when turning and the back tyres are scrubbing out on the inside, I takes it to this tyres joint(gy)for replacement of tyres and front and back wheel align.
Thought it was all sweet. Car didn't seem to handle as well after (floating effect on freeway)
Next thing whineing sound has gone but over the next month squeaking sound happens and gets worse. Go to pedders they tell me rear bushes are stuffed $800 to fix, go to a mate tells me he can fix but i have to buy the whole back sway bar as bushes in it can only be drilled out, he said something about spacers but he wasn't sure that would work. Anyways am getting the job done.
Rang back our friendly tyre people and asked why I was charged for back and front wheel alingn when the back was so ****ed, got the old "blame the apprentice" biso and i was only charged $45 for front (told me back and front was $55) said they were sure no back aling was poss in a TJ. I said "Don't give a feck should have been told that things were stuffed" (can move the back tyre 2inches with hand). Told me to bring it there tommorow sat (am getting the job done on monday)and they would look at it to see what went wrong.
Should i put it on them for a new back tyre that has srubbed heaps in the past 2 months?any advice bout this situation would be great.........sorry if I have left some scrachting heads:doubt: tried to explain best I could. Thanks in advance peeps:) all the best Martin
Ey buddy I have tried to make some sense into your story, the bit that has me  how the hell is ya back wheel moving two inches??... Thats crazzzzyyy talk there, the only way that it should move is by rolling. I would b getting sway bar / suspension looked at (oh Pedders are bloody rip offs)..
As for the "new tyre" Syndrome, yeah by all means hit em up, see what they have to say...remember you are the customer.. and when your the customer, retailers generally follow two rules (1) The Customer is always right, (2) If Customer is wrong, refer to rule number one. But these days thats thrown out the door.
I cant really help out with the rear bushes prices cos I dont rallt know whats involved, but $800 bucks sounds freakin steep

well i know for a fact that a wheel alignment only cost $35 and they mark it up to $55
i rang our tyre guy, and he said you can do a alignment on the rear, but why gy wouldnt advise you of any problems in the rear before they did the alignment is weird. It is their duty to tell you if there are problems, and they shouldnt have touched the rear if they noticed. And in doing so they most prob made any existing problems alot worse. Im guessing if it was an apprentice, that he didnt even check, or know what to look for, before he did the alignment.

Where abouts in Victoria are you mate.
A good wheel aligner is worth their weight in gold and there dont seem to be many out there.
My bro's KJ was crabbing when driving which is where the rear is not following the front wheel track. Looks like the car is going slightly sideways when driving straight.
He took it to the local tyre joint and he took it back 3 times in 2 hours because everytime it got worse or something was fixed and something else was stuffed.
I then took it to the place i go and they put it up and did a 4 wheel alignment and they said that the rears were out as much as they possibly could. They couldnt believe that someone had just aligned it. They did it and it was absolutely perfect from then on.
I HIGHLY recommend Tyrepower in Mornington to anyone in Melbourne's East. I live 40 mins away from there but make the trip every time i need something done because they get it right first time every time. Cant recomend them enough.
My sister bought a new Peugeot 307 HDI and it burnt out the rear tyres in 5000k's. She took it back to Peugeot and they recon they fixed it, put new tyres on it and gave it back. Same thing happened in another 5000 odd k's. This kept happening over and over until warranty ran out. In the end, Peugeot said, it is a fault and cant be fixed. Great thing to say.
I took it to the same Tyrepower joint, they aligned all 4 wheels, yep the back was out, and its been fine since. Almost done 15,000k's on the set and they still look new.
Oh yeah, i also agree, pedders are a rip and are dodgy.
