I started to fit my KL boot lid tonight but ran into a couple of problems so I've put it off for now.

Problem 1. The TL tail lights have a different wireing loom to the TH so I couldn't fit the lights till I get the right loom, the lights I got don't have a loom, I expect that they think you will use the loom off your old lights.

Problem 2. the boot release cable has a different end on it so if I connect the cable it won't have enough pull to open the lid, big problem with the TL/KL as they don't have a keylock on the boot.

so once I source another cable and the wireing looms for my tail lights the boot lid goes on.

sounds good dvs, how much was it all?

How about a remote controlled solenoid to pull the boot latch open, rather than using conventional methods?

Only need to change the cable as there already is a solenoid in Magna's

I thought not much, but it's turning out to be quit a bit how many $$$'s iv'e spent who knows.

Yeah i had that problem too...... putting a TJ VRX boot lid onto my TF

But luckily you can get the loom from wreckers.....it's just a matter if they have them. I got mine from Campbelltown. TJ onwards all have the same loom however the KL has the parker light on the boot lid doesn't it.

The KL has the reverse lights on the boot, but I'm not using the KL tail lights
