Just wondering if anyone else has experienced this before.
Had a call from my younger brother who has a KJ2 and he said he did a very hefty burnout outside a car dealer he had an argument with today. A bit childish i know, thats what i said but anyway, he said after that, the Traction control light 'Trac Off' wont go away. Its as if you had the traction turned off which he obviously did when doing the burnout.
Funny thing is that traction control works even though 'trac off' is permenantly on the dash.
He has obviously turned the car off then on again but light is still there. He is going t5o try the battery disconnection trick and see if that works.
Anyone got any idea as to why the traction control system would play up like this after doing a burnout?
Thanks.

Sure its not the ABS light..
Yeah happens when you do hand brakes and other types of skids..:P
It upsets the ABS somehow.. turn the car off and on will make the light go away but that all i know too..:)

I had my ABS light on after a hand breaky, however turning car off didn't fix it. it will just go away after a while. Just ignore it.
If it is still on after an hour, then get worried ;)
ummm.. my ABS light and SRS lights are permenantly on too (its been about 3mths) hehehe no deviant behavior here.. honest :D

Make sure it's a real good one, preferably near a school with a lot of children around... Honestly.

Yeah was my brother.
Couldnt treat my cars like that.
Spoke to him again today and he said the light has now gone out.
He said it was the 'trac off' light and also the 'ABS' light that were stuck on. He turned the car off and back on but they stayed on. He said the next morning when he went out they went away.
Thanks for the help guys.
He did it on Nepean Hwy near Southern Mitsub and he said he saw a really nice white 2nd gen Verada pull out of Southern Mitsub with an AMC sticker on the car. He said they had a drag at the lights.
He just mentioned that the 2nd gen was a great looking car, for who ever on here it may of been.

yeah had that happen to me too,
its the wheel speed sensors. the car senses that the front ones are spinning and the back ones aint and it trys to correct, but since trying to correct doesnt work it assumes the sensors must be buggered and comes up with the lights as an error code.
after a while it figs the sensors are all working properly again and so it resets.
