mate might have a set of rims for me with these measurements
5 x 114.3 and with a +40 offset.
will these rims work on my TE? he doesnt know what they come off.

They should be fine. The size is right,(5/114.3) and the standard offset for a 16x7 rim is 46mm. Whats the rim size? Be sure to check the size of the hole in the centre of the rim though, and compare it to the size of the wheel hub. Its the hub that actually carries the weight of the car not the studs.

any wheels off a skyline or AU/BA/BF falcon will fit.
