Hi guys though I will just share my installation of the Bezel.

Quite easy. Well all you need a file and sand paper and use the double sided tape provided.

Keep in mind that I spent 3 hours filing it down.

Well here are some pics.

Cheers!

Heres one more pic I couldn't put in the first post.

Do tell me what you think.

I did scratch the surface abit when sand papering it. So for you guys planning to do this be careful.

Cheers!

lesspicsorban!:D

Seems a lot thicker than I thought they would be.

Three hours of sanding is an "easy install"? :gtfo:

Its not thick but you paste it over the original/ stock bezel so it appears fat!! Ha ha!!

Is it just me or are all the "straight" holes on the piss?

Would be quicker/neater/smoother by just using Bare Metal Foil on the existing plastic.

I think its an effect of the camera CCD. Look at the cut outs in other pics, and it all looks straight.

That looks really awesome! Would love to do it on mine, but does look time consuming, and you can't afford to frak up. Would be great if there were kits out there that you could use to do it.

Thanx for the comments guys!

Well here is an update. The bezel kept poping out so I went and got more double sided tape. Those with about 1mm thickness sponge type, heavy duty tape. Hope it works.

Yeah I agree its abit thick but it not as bad as you guys suggest. I like it and I think it looks nice. I would think that the other methods you guys suggested seems more time comsuming and has more has more room or error or more things could easily to go wrong with the other methods.

If you guys don't like the finish you could respray it i guess. But don't get the carbon fibre or similar ones/ material as I think wouldn't be able to filed down and bent. Yes I had to do a bit of bending but thats easy just using your hands to bend it abit no equipment is needed.

Well keep my fingers cross that it will not pop out anymore.

Cheers guys!

??? You mean you want more pics?? Well if you do let me know what angles and I'll take them and post them up.

This is sort of my first mod I actually had to do myself. Its not like taking out somthing and change it or unclip and clip in a new thingy like the white indicators.

So I'm sort of proud of it. Hee hee!! :D

I know its not much unlike many of you guys. But well its a start or me. Next stop the EL Gauges and the paras. Yeah!!

Cheers!

Hey man thanx for the comment! Means alot! Its my first mod that I actually had to do something and more to come I bet.

But seriously I think its a bit too thick. The thinkness of the bezel should be 1mm to 1.5mm I think. If it would have been 0.5mm I think it would be alot better. Easier to bend and aline better on the stock bezel. Plus the people who sold it should have done a better job.

When I got it the bezel as very rough on all the edges. Like freshly cut and would easily cut your fingers. I had to get sand paper and sand it down abit to smoothen all the edges.

Then after that discovered that it wouldn't fit. So the next day had to file it down and sand it again.

Also another thing is that the original bezel, its ring is tapered down and not like like a straight line down or like right angles. So with the aluminium bezel over the stock bezel it looks thick.

Well thanx again guys cheers!
