they look the same in design, but I tried out a GTV and they feel definately firmer than my Xi seats. like the foam is denser. I know the leather is a bit different but would mitsu use a firmer foam on GTVs?
i highly doubt it..
the foam gets softer over time and starts to give way slowly.. wouldnt happen so much with leather seats but fabric ones that have been shampooed or steam cleaned may be softer..
but yeah, i doubt they would use different foam in different models.. could be wrong..

they were originally called GTV but alfa romeo hade a trademark on it so mitsu renamed them GTVi. so there essentially the same car.
if theres a solidly built GTV(i) driver in vic id like to hear from u. lol any vic members with a GTV(i)?
and if I get the interior would it be wanky to put a verada boot on and a verada or GTVi badge on the left and ralliart badge on the right? GTVi Ralliart? lol
I didn't know about the alfa thing that helps clear up a previous question I had. Mate as far as your badge idea goes I'd say yeah it would be 'wanky'. :2cool:
Also I've learned that in the KJ there is a GTV/GTVi and a GTV Ei.
O and I'm from the Gold Coast so I can't really help you too much with the foam differences. All I can tell is that the GTVi seats are sweeeeeeeet. See Pic4 and Pic5 in my sig.

There was no GTV Ei. The GTV was first, had sat nav, but was replaced by the GTVi not long after. Interesting Alan, never thought about the Alfa GTV. Toyota had to rename the highlander to Kluger, because Hyundai make the Terrican Highlander! Sorry, no help with the seats question.

a few of the ralliarts that come through work (trade-ins and service) have completely different feeling seats..
mine own feel relatively soft but none of the bolstering has given way YET.. only the left part of the base of the drivers seat is gettin softer and softer..
one ralliart that comes in that is absolutley immaculate (owner wont even let us wash it), the seats are very firm and feel way different to sit in, yet there is another one that comes in and all the bolsters are stuffed..
would all depend on how many ks the car has done and how long the seats have been sat it.. also the size/weight of the person would make a difference..
but id say the veradas would just have different leather coverings..

think it was only the series 2 KJ xi's onwards that got the electric passenger seat.. pretty sure both KL and KW had them.. both base and back were electric.. 380's that have electric passenger seats are base only, the back is manual..

All GTVi's have the same seat pads. I just checked the parts lists. I would suggest its just wear and tear and big butts.

Sorry my mis-read. Xi and GTVi have the same cushion and back pads according to the parts lists. So there shouldn't be any difference in pad density.

Don't think there is any besides cosmetic and control differences.

old thread i know but it was left unanswered so couldn't help myself lol
the GTV does have noticably firmer seats and a harder leather, almost plasticy some could say.
when GTV was released and official name was KJ Series 2 Verada Ei GTV, it was intended as a limited edition, only 100 or 200 were made, sorry bad memory, they had the same features of the Ei except it had black leather "sports" interior, in built sat nav, 17inch alloys, and the high flow cat, exhaust, spoiler and sports suspension, out of the vrx/sports model giving it 163kw.
been based on a Ei it came with only drivers electric seats not passanger like all xi's have
the GTVi was released as a production model becasue of how well the package worked together but all i know is that it lost the sat nav, not sure about the other features, but the KJ and KL/W vary a bit i believe.
hope that answers the questions

Hallo Mr Kruzr  Allow me to answer that one. When GTVi was released it came optional with Sat Nav and "Rear Spoiler". Hence I don't have either of those options. That's just my little bit added not that it makes much difference. :P :P
O also forgot to mention that the GTVi came out standard with a slimline, yoga trained, blonde babe. She was great but once I started driving the GTVi around I noticed i was able to pick up chics finally, GTVi does that, so I traded up the slimline blond for something more buxom.
GTVi = ChickMagnet.
I'll stop dribbling now and go back to work.
